Best Holster for M&P Shield Plus: Hand Formed Kydex Made in Las Vegas
The M&P Shield Plus took a great gun and made it better. 13 plus 1 capacity in the Shield footprint. The carry holster needs to match the upgrade.
This is a 90 day daily carry test of the TUKD ORIGIN holster for Smith and Wesson M&P Shield Plus.
Why TUKD ORIGIN for the Shield Plus
- Custom molded for the Shield Plus 3.1 inch model. Not a generic Shield shell.
- Pre tuned retention. No screws.
- Lifetime warranty on shells and hardware.
- Made in Las Vegas. Hand formed. Beveled edges.
What we tested
Daily carry for 90 days. Standing, sitting, driving, range work. Range draws with regular reps. Concealment under fitted clothing. Long days (10+ hours of carry).
What we found
- Retention out of the box was firm. The Shield Plus seated cleanly with a click.
- After 90 days retention was unchanged.
- Comfort was strong. The beveled edges meant no hot spots.
- Concealment was complete under a polo. Under a fitted t shirt the gun was barely visible.
- Draw consistency was high.
Carry positions
Optimized for appendix (AIWB) but the clip mount allows slight adjustment for 4 o'clock strong side carry. For more on which position fits your daily routine, see appendix carry vs strong side.
